POCUS for Anaesthesiology is a 2-day course specially designed for anaesthesiologists/critical care specialists who are not specialists in imaging but who may use ultrasound in clinical anaesthesia. POCUS for Anaesthesiology Pathway consists of the POCUS for Anaesthesiology course and the POCUS for Anaesthesiology Accreditation program conducted by the EM POCUS Academy, the Ultrasound Chapter of Sri Lanka College of Emergency Physicians in collaboration with international faculty consists of accredited Emergency specialists.
This is the first ever POCUS course in Sri Lanka tailor-made for Anaesthesiologists/ Critical care specialists, and in future, an accreditation pathway will be created for anaesthetists/intensivists in collaboration with POCUS Academy in the USA to develop standard clinician-performed ultrasound in critical care settings.

Eligibility criteria:
All medical officers/Post Graduate Trainees/ Consultants working in theatres/ICUs and with basic knowledge in Point-of-Care Ultrasound are eligible for the POCUS for Anaesthesiology course.
