International Competition at “ YOUNG EM PRESENTATIONS ”

Witness the Inaugural International Conference on Emergency Point-of-care Ultrasound

 

Grab the opportunity and carry forward the batten to promote Emergency Medicine as young speakers &  blossom out to showcase your talent of analysing , performing and speaking & teaching skills. 

Process

  1. Following eligibility criteria & the abstract selection according to the scientific panel , and the importance of the presentation topic / case study to Emergency Medicine, the applicants will be informed via emails regarding the selections
  2. Selected finalists are requested to make a PowerPoint presentation for 7 minutes followed by 3 minutes Question and Answer session. (Physically attending participants should deliver a live presentation & the virtual presenters should send the pre-recorded video presentation, well before the conference. ) 
  3. All the speakers will be judged by an eminent International & Sri Lankan panel of judges  on their presentation topic, slide content,  lecture presentation skills , emphasis of the innovative points and the language skills.
  4. The ranking list will be generated according to the score by the judge board & the winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of icEM POCUS conference.
  5. All participants will receive a certificate of participation in “ International Young EM Presentations”.
  6. The first three winners will receive the winning title , certificate and a gift.

* You may send any number of abstracts for the selections, but only one opportunity per person will be given to present at the competition.

 

Abstract guidelines

  1. Send a word document  : single spaced . Font- Times New Roman, Size 12
  2. Maximum word count : 300 ( Excluding the title, authors and references )
  3. Subtopics of the abstract :
    • Introduction
    • Justification
    • Objectives
    • Description / Case study
    • Conclusion

* Register for conference ( mention physical / virtual and individual/ group registration  in the special email, special registration will be arranged for the international attendees.
