Dr. Senitha Liyanage graduated from University of Colombo in 2005 and got his MD Emergency Medicine in 2016. He is currently working as the Consultant Emergency Physician, Emergency Treatment Unit (ETU), Colombo South Teaching Hospital (CSTH), Kalubowila. He is a member of Board of Study in Emergency Medicine, Post-graduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo as well as Examiner in MD – Emergency Medicine. He holds many posts in local and international groups such as Secretary – College of Palliative Care Medicine of Sri Lanka, Member – International Federation of Emergency Medicine (IFEM), Member – Trauma Special Interest Group, IFEM. He is extensively involving in developing courses, guidelines with the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka and relevant authorities. He is a Course Director – Basic Sports Emergency Care (B-SEC), Sports Medical unit, Sri Lanka, Co-director – Basic Course in Emergency Care (BCEC), instructor in POCUS, Member of National Shared Care Cluster Development, Development of National Curriculum and guidelines of First Aids, NCD Ministry of Health. His interest towards Disaster Management, Retrieval Medicine and Palliative care.
