Dr Nadi Pandithage is a Sri Lankan born Senior Emergency Physician who has been working as a Specialist in Darwin for 20 years. Nadi grew up in Darwin and has focussed her career on improving emergency medicine training in the top end of the Northern Territory (NT). She joined ACEM’s examiner board in 2009 and became the first examiner based in the NT. Nadi joined PoCUS enthusiasts late in her career after noting the deficit in PoCUS teaching and training in the NT. After doing all the emergency related CCPUs, curiosity got the better of her and she then completed a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound in Emergency Medicine. She is now the Chair of ACEM’s ED Ultrasound Committee, the Clinical Lead of Ultrasound training at her hospitals, and a passionate supporter of PoCUS teaching throughout Australasia for medical students through to Specialists.
