Dr. Thanuja Darshani, an esteemed graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Colombo. After earning her medical degree, Dr. Thanuja's passion for Emergency Medicine led her to become a Board-Certified Young Emergency Physician in 2021, following intensive overseas training at the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital in NSW, Australia. Dr. Thanuja's influence extends beyond clinical practice, as she serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Sri Lanka College of Emergency Physicians (SLCEP) and she is a proud founder member of SLCEP. Her special interest in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) elevates her expertise, and she stands as a distinguished POCUS-ARDMS (USA) accredited Sri Lankan Emergency Physician. She plays a pivotal role as a trainer and committee member at the EM POCUS Academy of Sri Lanka, Emergency Life Care (ELC) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses conducted by SLCEP. Dr Thanuja recently got appointment as the First Consultant Emergency Physician at the prestigious Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital in Colombo. This milestone marks yet another chapter in her remarkable journey.
