Dr. Shaik Farid Abdul Wahab, is an Associate Professor, presently the Head of Department of Emergency Medicine, a senior consultant emergency physician and senior lecturer in University Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia.  He obtained his medical degree and Master of Emergency (MMED Emerg) from USM. He completed his emergency ultrasound fellowship from Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard University. Dr. Farid is the President of the College of Emergency Physician Malaysia and the Chairman for the Special Conjoint Committee of Emergency Medicine Malaysia. He was appointed as Director of Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship program in USM since 2016. He has been involved in WINFOCUS since 2008 and became member of the board of directors from August 2023. He is the founder and current chairman for Wilderness and Austere Medicine Society Malaysia (WAMS).Dr. Farid is also actively involved in many activities in deep rural areas and Conducts Emergency ultrasound workshops in Malaysia and other countries.
